Sacred Pause for 2026

A Call to Naked Living And God's Covering

In a world that accelerates by the minute, pausing to breathe, reflect, or simply be present can feel almost out of step with life itself. It was in that tension between constant motion and quiet invitation that I began to hear God speak to me about my book Naked this year, reminding me that the pivot I made in 2025 was intentional. This journey would be different. This time, it would be marked by a pause.“Pause for what?” I asked Him.

And this is what I heard:

When the world believes it can outpace Me, you understand that it cannot. What they label as anxiety, restlessness, or even unrest aches carried in their bodies is the result of living outside My rhythm. To know My cadence, My children must pause with themselves, becoming certain of who they are, and in that knowing, they will remember where they belong in Me.

This is a call to a Sacred Pause.

A moment that only God can give us, Sacred Pause

How can we expect Sacred pause with God if we are unwilling to create Sacred space with Him? If chasing the next goal or the next best thing is what we want, we may get it. But will we be satisfied once we do?

In the Sacred Pause, clarity begins to surface. We start to distinguish what God desires from what we desire. We stop resisting His will, and He begins to teach us how to recognize the true desires of our hearts, instead of manufacturing desires to meet unmet needs.

In this pause, there is an undeniable peace. A peace you can taste and see. A peace that reveals the goodness of God. Our focus realigns. No longer centered on pleasing people, but on pleasing Him.

The choice is ours.

This Naked journey is an invitation to engage in a way that has not been done before. It calls for maturity. But this time, the maturity required is not only for personal transformation.

This may feel uncomfortable at first. It may even feel unconventional. But this is a rare moment to do something not for applause, not for recognition, and not under the weight of self-pressure or the expectations of others.

The Sacred Pause invites us to step out of inherited survival patterns rooted in historical trauma: fight, flight, freeze, or please. Here, we are not striving to prove, perform, or protect. We are simply present with God, for ourselves and for others, without carrying burdens that were never meant to determine our pace.

I am deeply grateful that you would even consider the Sacred Pause.

This is not for everyone.

It is for those entering the new year with a Holy resolve to carry no vision other than God’s vision for their life. As Scripture reminds us, “In Him we live and move and have our being” (Acts 17:28). In my upcoming book Pretty Wired, this truth becomes an invitation: after the stripping, we begin to Live, Move, and Be. This is the secret of God’s rhythm, not forced, not frantic, but formed in His presence. The Sacred Pause is where that rhythm is learned.

And as you enter it, you are not only being transformed. You are being prepared. Shaped to hold space for others. Invited into an intimate, unhurried encounter with our Abba Father.

What is your approach to the pause?

Whether single or married, we all need one.

Esther 5:1–2 reminds us that Esther moved only after the pause. '

Pause theme: Stillness and intercession before courage and action.

Matthew 1:18–25 shows Joseph pausing to consider before acting, receiving God’s instruction in a dream. Luke 1:38 reveals Mary’s continued surrender.

Pause theme: Obedience follows listening, not assumptions. For couples, this is vital to their calling.

In the new year, my husband Jason and I will be sharing what God has entrusted to us about money, finances, and stewardship. Before the spreadsheets, the plans, and the pressure especially as we navigate the realities of full-time entrepreneurship we believe every couple must begin with one question:Is it worth it? Where are we with this now?

Is It Worth It? is a workshop for couples and those preparing for marriage, created to help you slow down, listen together, and align your decisions with God’s direction.

We can’t wait to open this conversation with you. Dates coming in 2026.

This six week journey of Naked will give you spiritual discipline leading you to ART (activate right thinking with us)

Our practice will cause us to have a Holy Rhythm

  • Start your day with a moment of silence before checking your phone or emails.

  • Pause before meals how to really pray for what you are eating and to appreciate your food and the effort behind it.

  • Take mindful breaths during stressful moments to regain calm from the core of your being .

  • Creative space- honoring space that allows for the creative downloads of God

  • Use pauses in conversation to listen deeply and respond thoughtfully and not reactively.

These small actions can build a habit of presence and reflection that enriches your life and we will be practicing this on our Naked Journey.

The Lasting Impact of the Sacred Pause

The Sacred Pause offers more than just a break from activity. It creates space for clarity, connection, and healing. Across cultures and personal experiences, it serves as a reminder that stillness holds power. By embracing this practice, people find strength in quiet moments and deepen their understanding of themselves and the world. This is where the striving ends and the listening begins. Not with answers, but with surrender. Not with movement, but with trust.“Be still, and know that I am God.” — Psalm 46:10

If you have not yet explored the Sacred Pause, consider trying it today. Even a brief moment can open the door to greater peace and intimacy with our Father in 2026.
